  • orange and chocolate scones

    DSC00317

Scones are the dessert too delicious for me, but in Taiwan people aren't familiar with this British dessert; therefore, it's hard to find them in shops or bakeries. Bisji(pronouned in Chinese, which means,"Biscuit") is the only one that tastes like scone you can find in KFC but not exactly the same taste as the real, british scone.
This is the recipe of English scones and I added fresh orange juice and the slices to make the scones not too greasy.

    Ingredients
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/3 cup sugar
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    1/2 teaspoon salt
6 tablespoons butter, chilled and cubed
    1/2 cup chocolate chips
    5 tablespoons orange juice
    1/4 cup slices of orange

    Directions
1.Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F(200 degrees C) and lightly grease the baking pan.
2.In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. Cut in butter and use fingers to make the mixture into crumbs. Stir in the chocolate chips and mix in the orange juice to form a dough.
    3. Roll the dough on a floured surface into 1 inch thick . Use the round biscuit cutter to cut out 8 scones and press a couple of slices of orange on the top.
    4. Bake in prepared oven 12 minites.

Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool, because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
